Zumba With Cheese and Sunkist

Tonight I went to a local Zumba class with Amy. As I told her when I was sweating and begging for an extra air hole, there is no way in Hades that I could have finished that class (or the first song) without having been jogging for months (well, that plus prayer plus Amy). I just have to say again how great Amy is. When I was about to pass out, she VOLUNTEERED to go in front of the class and dance! She was the ONLY one to do this!! I was so proud that I was there with her. What a star!!! Well, we already know that.

Also, as I mentioned to Amy, I think that this class is great for children: get their energy completely burned and gone so that they'll act like little angels. Zumba is going to be a weapon in my arsenal when I become a parent. :) :) :)

As for me, I must have burned at least a million calories, right?

  1. No way could I get through an hour long class either. I did 20 mins of my Zumba lookalike DVD and almost died lol. So wussy!

Go you guys for getting up there and trying. Big kudos! (that sounds like cojones.. well, big ones of those too, for doing it!!)

  2. Wow! If you couldn't have gotten through it easily, then I know that I would not be able to make it through the first song for sure!!

Yea Amy for rescuing you! What a friend. Why can't we all have an Amy living near us? Sigh

  4. Congrats on making it through Zumba!! I would tell you it gets easier but that would be lying!! Last night was night 2 for me and it kicked my butt, the good thing is that you learn the steps and it makes it so that you can concentrate on breathing and tightening. How fun to have a Zumba friend, I need to get one of those!!

  7. I would have died. Seriously. Cardio is not my strength and when you mix that with dance moves you have a serious problem on your hands!

You gals are awesome and how cool that you get to go to class together!!! Wahoo!

One day we'll have a reunion for all of us bandsters (Amy W's wedding) and we'll do a zuma class, ju7t because!

  9. Yes, thank goodness for Amy. And I am so happy that I got to go to class with her. But I'm sorry for you all who can't go to a Zumba class for time and proximity reasons. :(

By the way, Cara, what the are cajones? I feel like I get a lesson in Australian English at every turn (not complaining--I actually like learning what these cool words mean).
