'One of Us'

Last night, I was out with my guy. I was talking about a fellow bandster blogger, and he was asking me (again), "Who is that?" I said, "She is one of us." We both started laughing. He said it sounded like we were not human or not from this planet or something like that.

In talking to others, some of us get a hard time from their significant others about their blog friends....not mean...just a little playful snickers sometimes since we've never met in 'real life'. But they just don't understand; they are not 'one of us'! :)

  1. I can totally relate! My hubby is always thinking of new names bandsters, bandaids, bandits! But I think he likes the support I get!

  2. It's weird because I'll talk to someone about something someone on a blog did/said and I
l'll want to say "my friend did this or that", but I've never met you guys! I guess as long as we all get it it's OK.

  3. I cannot imagine talking to anyone else about some of our band issues. Even my adorable and loving husband cannot relate to fill issues :)

  4. I call all my good friends on here my 'blog buddies' or bandits and my husband gets that. I don't really talk to anyone else about it because as everyone else said, they just wouldn't get it.

  5. I agree, when I try to explain how tight we all are to someone from the "outside", they just don't understand how we can be so tight & most of us not know each other personally.

PS)My DH loves the support that I get from my "band/blog buddies".

  6. I was telling my best friend about all of my "band friends" last night. She is who I normally talk to about everything but even she agrees that it is wonderful to have a support system of people who have been there done that! The BF actually listens when I read blogs aloud, he thinks the support is awesome and that is great to know.

  7. As someone who has kept my banding a secret by and large, having support is so great (as you all mentioned)...and people who 'just get it' is such an added perk.
