Can I Make It Through Thanksgiving?

For some reason, the receptionist had not entered my appointment for yesterday in the calendar, so they moved my appointment to after Thanksgiving without apology! Argh! That is a month and a half from my last fill (and I'm still hungry = scary!!!).

BTW, I wanted to tell Amy, Mary, and Melly that I have spoken with Dr. F's office (Amy's doctor). There is a membership charge into the program. It would've worked out really well had I just started with him for my fills because his fills are less than my doc's (and the membership fees would've evened out over time because of that fact and that I probably would've needed less fills with him). But at this stage in the game and with the financial concerns I have at present, I'm going to attempt to continue with my doctor until it becomes unbearable (and too close to the wedding for comfort, which might actually be soon). But going with him was a really good suggestion. And I just wanted to let you guys know the status on that since you've been steering me in that direction. I'll keep you posted on if and when I change if I do.

I appreciate EVERYONE'S comments and advice.

  1. Argh... those docs and the damn program fees! Sorry about that. I like Dr. Friedman but I know how it is with money. We're tight here too and everything adds up. I hope you can come to some type of agreement with Dr. Nye and get that fill soon.

Oh and if it makes you feel better, I'm up 2 pounds since this whole kidney stone thing. Unbelievable huh? I think once I'm better I'm gonna get a fill and join a gym. I need to do something since I've been stalled since Halloween =D

  2. I hear you here on the non-feeling of restriction: I am exactly where you are - having to watch myself again.. frustration is high. And it will have been 6 weeks for me to between appts. with the doc. Murder!!
You just keep doing what you're doing. You can make it. xx Happy Thanksgiving to you also. (Is that right? Happy Thanksgiving? Maybe not, I don't know lol but it is hopefully close enough.)

  3. Well I'd be patient w/ the fill, that isn't TOO far off, you will be fine. And yeah changing your md is alot of work, and if it had to do w/ money I couldn't do it either. I'm thankful mine is all paid for by my insurance up to 2 yrs post op. So hopefully by then I'll at 6 mths to ayr in maintenance. Good luck w/ the holiday eating and the next fill!

  4. You can survive Tgiving! I am thinking good thoughts for you. The fill will arrive soon!

  5. Hang in there, you can do it! I'm still so sorry you have been having these experiences with Dr. Nye.
