I just used a pill cutter to cut it in half and made sure to eat yogurt or take a probiotic (it is a really strong antibiotic, as you know!).Sherryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01607905045150804156noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9003187612927546935.post-24715925902746681132012-02-10T16:45:26.409-08:002012-02-10T16:45:26.409-08:00Thanks, Ronnie. :)Thanks, Ronnie. :)MBhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06330362430647878821noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9003187612927546935.post-78515530141553133702012-02-10T06:01:56.258-08:002012-02-10T06:01:56.258-08:00I'm with JRD, I would cut them. Not sure if Cipro is one of those ones that can't be cut/crushed, but that's what I would do. So much better than it getting stuck and burning the hell out of your esophogus! good luck lady...JDhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07316052544458683133noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9003187612927546935.post-48094473618471330822012-02-07T19:23:00.411-08:002012-02-07T19:23:00.411-08:00Thanks, Maria! :) I feel better about taking it n...Thanks, Maria! :) I feel better about taking it now.MBhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06330362430647878821noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9003187612927546935.post-30656212247998828262012-02-07T19:03:09.704-08:002012-02-07T19:03:09.704-08:00I've taken Cipro two or three times since I...I've taken Cipro two or three times since I've had my band with no problems.Mariahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18351183370829095982noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9003187612927546935.post-29874276081149059152012-02-07T17:23:04.676-08:002012-02-07T17:23:04.676-08:00I forgot to tell you thank you. I updated my post with a picture I found online. Mine look like that. Can you see the pic? It is a solid white pill. I think that is a tablet (a capsule is the type you can break open with stuff inside, right? Why don't I know that? LOL!). My omeprazole pills (for heartburn/reflux) are bigger (like super cow sized), and I've taken them (not like it isn't somewhat of a chore though). I am a little over 1 cc in my band now. We have been moving very slowly with the re-fills. My doc is on the conservative side for adjustments. I think he didn't want to do too much before he retired in case I faced any complications. I didn't have a new doctor until the very day he retired, so that probably worried him too...along with the fact that he probably didn't want me to have major issues starting out with someone new (in case I would).MBhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06330362430647878821noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9003187612927546935.post-77809314245411094732012-02-07T17:12:50.779-08:002012-02-07T17:12:50.779-08:00cipro should be fine, pretty sure I've taken i...cipro should be fine, pretty sure I've taken it since surgery. is it a capsule or a tablet? I just did a quick google and it's possible (anything is possible!) but very rare from what I can tell. is the pill large or fairly small? are you still deflated? anyway, if it's on the bigger side and you're able to split it I would just to be sure it goes down really easily, drink 8 ounces of water and stay upright for at least 30 mins -- I really don't think you'll have any problems :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
